Sub:- Non-supply of POSB Cheque Books to Post Offices – reg.

Respected Sir,

This is to bring your kind notice that presently the Head Post Offices are neither in a position to supply POSB Cheque Books to the MDGs/SOs as and when indented nor to the customers when demanded since the same are not available. As a result, the SPMs / Postmasters of SOs/MDGs are not issuing Cheque Books to the Customers.

The issue has already been discussed in the last four-monthly meeting under Item No. 01 – 09 / 2017. During discussion we were informed that correspondence is going on with the Govt. Security Press, Nashik for early supply.

But things are going on as usual and our staff members especially the Counter PA/SPM/Postmasters are tolerating the anger of the members of public due to their failure to supply Cheque Books to the customers against their S B Pass Books.

Therefore, in this context, we would like to request you once again to kindly take immediate suitable step and arrange supply of POSB Cheque Books to all GPOs/HOs for downward supply to MDGs/SOs.
