Dear Comrade,

You might have gone through the All India Draft Combined Seniority List of Postmaster Grade – III recently circulated vide Directorate’s letter referred to above and now available in India Post website.

The seniority of the Grade – III Postmasters should have been fixed taking into account the HSG-I service if any rendered by each such Postmaster in accordance with the contents of letter No. 4-17/2008-SPB-II, dated 22.11.2010.

But as seen from the above Seniority List, this has not been done in respect of the Grade – III Postmasters of Odisha Circle. The dates of appointment in Postmaster Grade – III have been taken into account for fixing the all India seniority.

11 Number of Grade – III Postmasters as particularized below have been enlisted in the Draft Seniority List. Out such 11, the first 5 Grade – III Postmasters placed at Sl. No. 121, 122, 144, 146 and 148  of the Draft Seniority List have already rendered regular service in HSG-I cadre from the date noted against each in the following list. The rest 6 Postmasters have been promoted from Grade – II.

            Thus, if the dates from which the first 5 Grade – III Postmasters are appointed in regular HSG-I cadre are considered in the light of the instructions contained in above Directorate’s letter, their placement in the draft seniority list will be changed and all will be placed after Sl. 6 of the original draft seniority list.

It may be noted that as interacted with the above members, individual representations will be there within 45 days of the circulation of the draft seniority list for settlement of grievances of such officials.
