New Delhi: Fearing likely resistance from unions, the Union Cabinet has decided not to accept two of the key recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. According to a report published in The Hindu, the suggestions included – no more setting up of pay commissions and its replacement with a performance-linked appraisal system. With this the hopes of those who were batting for rationalization of pays and introduction of meritocracy have been completely dashed now.
