It has been reported by SPM, Talcher Thermal SO that one Postman of his office has been tested COVID-19 positive on 21.09.2020. As such it is decided to shut-down Talcher Thermal SO for two days on 21.09.2020 & 22.09.2020 for sanitization & fumigation.

Sub:-Detection of COVID-19 positive at Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office in Angul District.

Sir,

It has been is reported by Sub Postmaster, Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office vide WhatsApp message dated 21.09.2020 that that one Postman of his office has been tested COVID-19 positive on 21.09.2020. Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office is run by four numbers of staff and there is every possibility of contact of the other Gramin Dak Sevaks of nearby offices who attend Talcher Thermal SO on daily basis. As a precautionary measure Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office has been ordered to shut-down on 21.09.2020 & 22.09.2020.

In view of the aforesaid situation it is requested kindly to arrange sanitization and fumigation of Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office locally for safety of the officials and the public.

It is also requested to arrange COVID-19 test of all officials of Talcher Thermal Sub Post Office including those who have come in direct contact with the officials who have tested COVID-19 positive and arrange medical treatment of officials who have tested positive for COVID-19.
