OBITUARY

Com. Binaya Satpathy,  Ex - BPM ( Retired ), Banasingh BO i/a/w Mahimagadi SO - 759014, a veteran GDS Leader and stalwart Office Bearer of AIPEU / NFPE, Dhenkanal, expired on 01.02.2023.

        

He was a bonafide member of AIPEU / NFPE. He was a fighter and an uncompromising comrade during his entire service career and also was a neat, clean, dedicated worker for the Department. He was attending all programmes of AIPEU / NFPE for the Cause of Gramin Dak Sevaks in the Division.

He was very friendly, approachable and a loving person with very pleasing personality. His rich disposal of postal services to the common people even at the last mile of each one under his jurisdiction was very very inspiring and will be remembered for ever. 

We used to have many heated arguments on GDS Issues, Administrative Victimization , Harassment and Exploitation on the Gramin Dak Sevaks. He was always eager to take part in everything for the cause of GDSs and always thinking of solving GDS Issues with Self Respect and Dignity, even after his discharge on superannuation.

Even after his retirement, he was asking about the stand of Union on many issues of the GDSs, Progress of Action Taken by Union regarding all  those issues.

Whenever the Union Wrote any resolution / memorandum / letter on Any GDS Issue, Late Com Satpathy Used to send Regd Letters /  Speed Posts to Leaders of Political Parties, Elected Public Representatives, MPs, MLAs, Ministers, The Ministers for Communication, The Prime Minister and The President of India containing all the Pain and Agony of the Down Trodden Section of the Society i.e., Gramin Dak Sevaks ( GDS )

This Union Represented by Com Abhilas Mohapatra, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU PM & MTS, Dhenkanal Divisional Branch, Com Satyabadi Rout, President, AIPEU-GDS, Dhenkanal Divisional Branch, along with other comrades attended the Funeral of Late Com Satapathy and paid homage to the departed soul. 

We on behalf of AIPEU / NFPE, Dhenkanal Division, convey our heartfelt condolences on the demise of Com. Binaya Satapathy. We Pray Before the Ulmighty Supreme Lord Jagannath to Bless the Divine Soul, give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreplaceable loss.
