For the first time in the history of Postal Trade Union Movement of Odisha Circle, all the 8 Circle Secretaries (P-III, P-IV, R-III, R-IV, Accounts, Admin(PPP), AIPSBCOEA and AIPEU GDS) singed in a single memorandum on all common issues including CBS & CIS and conducted joint day long dharana programme on 15.06.2016 in the campus of the Chief PMG Office, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar on 35 charter of demands.
The Dharana Programme was inaugurated by Com. Dusmanta Dash, Joint Convener, Odisha Shramika O Karmachari Ekata Manch and addressed by Com. R N Dhal, General Secretary, Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers, Odisha State CoC.
All Circle Secretaries registered their dissatisfaction over the callousness of the administration on all local issues.
All the Divisional Secretaries of NFPE Unions of Odisha Circle participated in the dharana programme with hundreds of members.
The historic rally inside the campus of the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle depicted the scene of a mini one day strike.
It was unanimously decided to give 15 days time to the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle to intimate the Action Taken Report on the 35 charter of demands including CBS and CIS.
There was huge participation from All Divisions of the State. Dhenkanal Division Participated in the Day Long Dharna Programme headed by Com. Upendra Sahu, Organising Secretary & Circle Delegate , Gr - C, Com Suryakanta Sahoo, Asst Secy - 5, Gr - C, Com Pravash Chandra Sahoo, Divn Secy, Postmen & MTS, Com Saroj Kumar Sahoo, Organising Secy, Postman & MTS, Com Haresh Chandra Mishra, Divn Secy, GDS, Com Pramod Kumar Sahoo, President, - GDS, Comrade Antaryami Sahoo, BPM, Gaham BO. Due to Some Unavoidable Reasons, Divisional Secretary, and the Chairman, Convener, Women Sub Committee, Gr - C Could Not Attend. Hundreds of members from the Nearby BOs, town sub offices, HOs, GPOs of BBSR & CTC joined the dharana during lunch hour.
The dharana programme was a total success.
If the issues are not settled positively, the next course of action will be decided after 15 days which may invite an Indefinite Strike in Odisha Circle.
