1. Has the postal board power to hike the rate of post card?
No. Parliament approval is compulsory to hike the rate of postcard, ILC and envelope.
2. Can we treat the card as printed card, which has the rubber stamp with manual writing in the blanks?
No. manual writing in between the rubber stamp cannot be treated as printed card.
3. Can we book MO Videsh on 22.02.2014 at 1530 hrs at Ongole HO?
No. Saturaday and Sundays are holidays for booking MO Videsh.
4. Can we charge unpaid for the private ILCs, where there is no flap folding?
flap folding are exempted for private inland letter cards.
5. Blind literature sending from one non blind person to a blind person is exempted from any type of postage. Is it true?
False. Postage is free for blind literature, which should be from blind person to blind person only.
6. Blind literature sending from blind person to blind person through airmail is exempted from postage. Is it true?
All charges ie registration, ack fee, postage is free for blind literature weighing up to seven kgs. It does not apply to air surcharge charges.
7. What is EN, RN, IN in speed or regd post?
First letter refers express or regd and the second letter refers state and IN means INDIA.
8. Can unregd parcel be allowed to send through airmail?
NO.
9. Can we charge the book post as unpaid as it has not the superscription?
No. The superscription “bookpost” on the cover is not mandatory for letters booked under book post.
FINANCIAL
1. We can get Rs. 2558- as withdrawal in RD account, where the balance is Rs 5115-. Is it true?
False. The eligible withdrawal amount is Rs. 2555- as the withdrawal should be in multiples of Rs.5- only.
2. Withdrawal in cheque account may be accepted with SB-7 also. Is it true?
True.
3. What are local cheques for realization in Saving Bank accounts?
The cheques, drawn in favour of bank, exists in the jurisdiction of sub offices or sub offices under same Head office, may be treated as Local cheques.
4. Can we send claim applications, sanction memos through regd post or speed post?
No.They should be send through service insured post only.
5. After quitting service, PLI policy holder should not be allowed to continue. Is it true?
False. Policy holder may be continued after quitting the service also.
6. All e enabled services are indiapost products. Is it true?
No. e payment, EMO, Speednet, R Net, MO Videsh are only indiapost products.
7. May we allow NRI to contribute in National Pension Scheme?
Yes. All non resident Indians are eligible to contribute in NPS.
